18 players, two coaches and other team officials of the Super Eagles are now in San Jose, capital of Costa Rica, ahead of Thursday’s international friendly match between both countries, as part of activities to send forth the Los Ticos to the World Cup finals in Qatar.
The contingent was led by NFF Executive Committee Member, Sunday Dele-Ajayi.
Ahead of the game, the team had their first training session at the Centro De Alto Rendimiento Trainning Centre, San Jose.
The Super Eagles announced this today on its official Twitter account sharing a 1 minute 27 second video clip of the training.
The game, scheduled for the National Stadium in San Jose, will kick off at 8pm Costa Rica time on Wednesday, which is 3am on Thursday in Nigeria.
Costa Rica are currently unbeaten in four straight games, claiming one draw and three wins, including a 2-0 victory over Martinique in Group B of the CONCACAF Nations League on June 5.
Nigeria heads into tomorrow’s game on a run of just two wins in their last 11 outings across all competitions, losing seven and claiming two draws since January’s 2-0 victory over Guinea Bissau in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Super Eagles Assistant Coach, Salisu Yusuf, had picked goalkeeper Kayode Bankole, Nathaniel Nwosu, Daniel Bameyi, Samuel Kalu, Chidiebere Nwobodo, Mustapha Jibrin, Evans Ogbonda and Afeez Nosiru.
Yusuf also picked Samson Paul, Daniel Wotlai, Ezekiel Edidiong, Dominion Ohaka, Qudus Akanni, Shina Akinniran, Sunday Faleye, Jerry Alex, Isaiah Ejeh and Suleiman Garba.
