Nwajagu Samuel Chinemerem Becomes the First African Mister International Winner
Nwajagu Samuel Chinemerem has become the first African to win the Mister International title.
The 23-year-old undergraduate of software engineer from the University of Port Harcourt competed against 47 contestants from around the world to win the crown.
The 16th edition of the Mister International pageant which took place on December 14, 2024, at Island Hall, Fashion Island in Bangkok, Thailand,the event brought together contestants from various countries, showcasing their talents and celebrating global diversity.
While the financial rewards of this competition are not clearly defined, other benefits include, winners have the freedom to live anywhere during their reign, also winners enjoy various forms of recognition, such as sponsorships, endorsements, and opportunities to collaborate with global brands and organisations.
Samuel’s victory marks another milestone in Nigeria’s rising presence in global pageantry, following just weeks after Chidimma Adetshina became the first Nigerian to place as first runner-up at Miss Universe. Samuel’s win adds to the country’s growing achievements.
In his appreciation speech, Samuel shared an inspiring message:
“I feel very great and I am very happy for the support each and every one of you gave me throughout this journey. My message is a message of hope and resilience.
