INEC sets date for new PVC’s collection

If you have registered for your Permanent Voters Cards, PVC, ahead of next year’s general elections, you can pick up your cards from all INEC offices from December 12.

Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, announced this in a statement in Abuja.

Already, INEC state offices have started receiving PVC’S for onward distribution to eligible registered voters.

The exercise, which would end on Sunday 22 January 2023 in all the 774 Local Government Offices of INEC across the country, is scheduled to run from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm daily, including Saturdays and Sunday.

The statement explained that persons who are unable to collect their PVCs at the Local Government Offices of the Commission can do so at the Registration Areas/Electoral Wards from Friday 6th to Sunday 15th January 2023.

Consequently, all the Resident Electoral Commissioners and Electoral Officers have been directed to convene a meeting with critical stakeholders in their States and Local Government Areas and brief them on the modalities for the collection of the PVCs in order to sensitise the public and ensure seamless exercise.
