500-Level Student Allegedly Attacked Roommate Over Noise Dispute, Faces Investigation
A 25-year-old Olabisi Onabanjo University student identified as Koya Ayodeji has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his roommate during an argument.
The suspect, a 500-level Business Education major, claimed he had asked the victim Ayobami Ajayi, a 21-year-old third-year Mass Communication student, to lower the noise, but he refused. This led to an argument between them, during which the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim in the lower abdomen.
Police arrested the suspect and conducted a toxicology screening, suspecting he may have been under the influence of drugs. The injured student was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent surgery, and is now reported to be in stable condition.
The suspect will face charges once the investigation is complete.
