UK: Police arrested 10 in Bristol England over violent protest


About ten people were “arrested in the city of Bristol” in Southern England on Friday after a protests over a new policing bill that turned “violent with people throwing glass, bricks and bottles at officers”, according to the statement released by the police.

Thousands of protesters converged on the city center, ignoring Covid -19 restrictions, to protest against a government bill going through parliament that would give police new powers to restrict street protests.

Three of those arrested were also detained in connection with the violent disorder which took place in Bristol on Sunday,” Runacres said.
